Family Owned with Heart

Heart of Texas Monument Company is family owned with experience in the Monument business since 2002.

Pictured left to right, Zachary Weise, Becky Weise and Tim Weise. Zach is the son of Tim and Becky. Zach and Becky own the company.

This picture was taken shortly after an installation in 2012. You can see the monument is still wet from being washed.

Aileen Loehr was a co-worker of Becky's at The Fayette County Record. Aileen, like many other clients, wanted to design her own monument as a way to take the burden off of her family. Ask about Pre-Need and how we can help you take care of your final plans.

Heart of Texas Monument Company is proud to offer custom memorials that tell a story of the lives they represent.

A Little Bit About Us

Purchasing a monument before you need it is an accomplishment some people never think of. It offers a way of taking money out of your estate while locking in today’s pricing.

Because Aileen loved her job at The Fayette County Record so much, she wanted the FCR logo as part of her design. Her husband, Bucky was a long time employee of TxDOT and it was his wish to represent all of his years of service, too.

Once permissions were received to use both logos, the design was created. Aileen then placed her signature on the design to approve it before anything was ever carved in stone.

Having the opportunity to view a scale drawing assures the spelling of names, dates and design is exactly what you order.

Once approved, the design is then sent to a machine that cuts a full size rubber stencil and is used to sandblast the design into the stone.

Aileen loved red roses. She also included sentiments that were very personal to her heart. And being into genealogy, she included her maiden name on the front, and the names of her children on the backside.

To Aileen, there was joy in knowing she was taking care of things. Now that she has passed, her family has one less thing to think about. And every time they visit her at the cemetery, they see a part of her in the design.

Here are a few facts you should know about buying a monument.

·      Custom designs do not cost any more than cookie cutter designs.

·      There are all colors of granite from quarries throughout the world.

·      Domestic granites from the United States are beautiful.

·      Texas has its own Sunset Red granite out of Marble Falls.

·      Georgia Gray is most likely the least expensive.

·      You can put the same design on a 6” thick stone as you can an 8” thick stone.

·      Insist on seeing a drawing for approval to avoid mistakes.

·      Did you know many granite colors come from India and China? Ask – “Is this granite from the United States?”

·      Some monuments are installed using dry sack concrete, which is unstable.

·      Make sure your monument is installed on a slab because it is easier to have straightened if it should sink or shift.

·      Trust is a very important part of the process.
